How to Blog

There are several ways you can blog. Here’s a brief summary of each one
Via the Blog’s Management
The classic method, only requires a web browser. It’s convenient and requires no setup, but is not as fast as the other methods, though.
As described in another post, just enter the Site Management page via the login link on the left column or click on Site Management if you’re already logged in. Click on Write, Write Post. Write it up. Select categories, tags. Publish. Done.
Via a desktop tool
This method requires that you download and install on your computer a tool such as Qumana (free) or BlogJet ($39,95, 30-day trial). These tools allow you to directly post to the blog without having to go through the Site Management page. Very easy, fast, and powerful, allowing to drag&drop images and files directly to yur post, save drafts for later publishing, and visually position photos, format text etc. Similar to Word. But it only works on the computer(s) in which you’ve installed the tool.
Performancing has a Firefox plugin that allows you to post directly from your browser, by opening a new window. It’s easy, fast and convenient, although you lose some of the power that the desktop tools give you, such as the drag&drop of images and files.
Via email
Finally, it is also possible to blog via email, i.e. post stuff by sending an email to a special email address at venturecreators.net. This method is currently disabled here at VCN.
